I've been flying professionally for about 13 years, and now I have the pleasure of flying this Gulfstream G450 which is a lot of fun and exciting. And today I'm going to talk to you about becoming a pilot. So how to become an airline pilot or sometimes we refer to it as a commercial pilot. There's a few ways. Some people take a route of flying with a regional airline or feeder airline. You might recognize it as a United Express. These are the smaller jets or the smaller turbo props and share the major airlines logo but they usually take the shorter routes. That's one way of getting on with them. Usually a minimum of around five hundred hours. Again I think a thousand hours is kind of a nice number where they start to look at you.
